A Leader Dedicated to Service
Hi! Thank you allowing me to introduce myself. I'm Miles Lucero, a Pueblo native born and raised in the heart of this community. My roots run deep here, with multi-generational family ties tracing back to the Eastern plains of Colorado. In Pueblo, I found love, built a family, and now, as a father, I'm committed to ensuring this community remains an ideal place for my little one to grow up.
I am a proud product of the Pueblo public school system. I graduated as valedictorian from County High School, the first step in my commitment to lifelong learning. This journey led me to the University of Arizona, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in mathematics through an academic scholarship.

Though my education took me away from Pueblo temporarily, a strong pull always brought me back. Upon my return, I began my career with Pueblo's Transportation Technology, Inc. (now MxV Rail) and found my niche in the freight rail industry. Over the years I have gained valuable experience working with companies nationwide.

I believe my biggest assets lie in leadership, synthesizing complex ideas, and effectively communicating them to diverse audiences. My experiences have shaped me into a committed, hardworking individual, ready to take on the responsibilities of County Commissioner.
What truly drives me to pursue this position is my love for Pueblo, especially its people, and I want to do everything I can as a young leader to make it a safer, healthier, more beautiful place to live. I am so proud of this place I am from and the opportunities it has provided to me and my family. I want to ensure that the current and next generation of Puebloans are provided those same and even better opportunities for years to come.
